Tiffany & Co. Has Taken Over London With Sparkly New Exhibition And Star-Studded Party

Since Tiffany & Co. opened its doors to jewelry enthusiasts in New York in 1937, it has solidified its spot as a heavyweight brand in the world of luxury accessories. Not only has the iconic jewelry company become synonymous with impeccable craftsmanship and awe-worthy diamonds (usually encased in signature sky-blue boxes), its extensive and colorful archive has remained a topic of interest for years – think Audrey Hepburn’s iconic regalia in Breakfast At Tiffany’s or Beyoncé adorned in the Tiffany diamond in the All About Love campaign.

Now, with the help of the Saatchi Gallery, members of the public can view the aforementioned jewels, as well as over 400 stunning objects IRL – for free.

In addition to 185 years in the business, Tiffany & Co. opened its first brick-and-mortar store in the UK 150 years ago. To mark the momentous occasion, last week the brand brought its latest exhibition titled ‘Vision and Virtuosity’ to the Duke of York Square, just a stone’s throw away from Sloane Square. Celebrating 150 years on British soil is no small accomplishment, and as expected Tiffany & Co. made sure to ring in the special occasion with a cohort of A-list guests.

Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Blackpink’s Rosé, Sabrina Elba, and Gal Gadot were just a few of the famous faces that turned up to celebrate the exhibition, which explores seven themes that are integral to the long-standing brand’s identity.

Admirers of Tiffany & Co. will be delighted to discover there’s an entire space dedicated to Truman Capote’s legendary 1958 adaptation. In fact, the famous Givenchy gown worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s is one of the precious garments on display, alongside the original script.

Additionally, expect to see head-turning gemstones fashioned by a slew of powerful women who have helped shape the decades-old company. Designs by the late Elsa Peretti sit next to works by the brand’s first female chief gemologist, Victoria Reynolds, as well as an array of innovative high jewelry pieces by businesswoman Paloma Picasso. Plus, there’s an accompanying catalog featuring a foreword by the late fashion pioneer, André Leon Talley.

But the festivities don’t end there. Chances are, if you were scrolling on social media last week, you would have come across Nicola Coughlan wearing a tulle top and frou-frou skirt by London-based label Selezza in Tiffany blue to match with Harrods newly lit turquoise lights.

The actor was all smiles as she helped switch on the lights at the famous Brompton Road department store ahead of the exhibition launch. With the weather set to reach scorching levels this week, run – don’t walk – to the Saatchi Gallery this weekend to cool down and soak up the best exhibition in London right now.
