FFXIV: How to get the Apocryphal Bahamut mount

The final Endwalker Trial has arrived in Patch 6.5, which means the end of the Endwalker Trial mounts. What is a bonus mount and how to get it? Here’s how to get the Apocryphal Bahamut mount in FFXIV.

For those who don’t know, each expansion has a mechanic where the extreme version of each challenge drops a variant of a themed mount. Get all of these mounts for one character and you’ll unlock a side quest to get another mount for your troubles. In A Realm Reborn, you had to collect Primal themed horses to get the Kirin. In Heavensward, it was the lanner birds that gave you the Phoenix. Stormblood had kamui, or wolves, which made up the kitsune’s last means of transportation, and Shadowbringers had small dragons called gwibers, which provided a mechanical dragon.

Now, in the Endwalker era, every Trial drops a lynx. What do you get if you collect all the lynxes? The Dragon!
This makes about as much sense to you as it does to me.

To get this animal, you need to register each Lynx. This means you must unlock the extreme version of each Endwalker challenge by talking to the Wandering Minstrel in Sharlayan in (12.7, 14.3), and farm each one until the lynx whistle drops, and then win the loot roll. If you fail to win the roll, you can also trade if you have 99 tokens from the corresponding Trial in Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han (10.6, 10). In short, it takes a LOT of time to get each trot.

All you need are lynxes:

• Bluefeather Lynx:  Minstrel’s Ballad: Endsinger’s Aria
• Lynx of Divine Light:  The Minstrel’s Ballad: Hideilyn’s Call
• Lynx of Eternal Darkness:  The Minstrel’s Ballad: Fall of the Zodiark
• Fallen Shadow Lynx:  Void Platform (Extreme)
• Lynx of the Powerful Winds:  Call of the Storm (Extreme)
• Lynx of Righteous Fire:  Mountain Trials (Extreme)
• Lynx of Bottomless Sorrow:  Bottomless Rift (Extreme)

The quest starts at Singingway in Old Sharlayan (12, 10). What follows is a short little quest with Loporrit, consisting only of cutscenes and dialogue. Upon completion, you will receive a mount for completing the quest and will be able to register Apocryphal Bahamut.
