The Season 5 update is set to introduce new weapons, operators, and various other changes to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and the DMZ on August 2nd. Details about the weapon balancing patch will be available on update day, but the developers have already shared information about upcoming game modes and gameplay features.

Champion’s Quest in the Vondel
What kept avid Battle Royale players busy during Warzone 2’s launch was the champion quest in Al Mazra. To unlock this contract, a team must win five games in a row. The next few matches will feature the Champion’s Quest contract, which tasks you with collecting three radioactive elements and then weaponizing a nuke while the entire lobby tries to prevent it. As a reward for completing this task, you will receive an exclusive MP5 blueprint (see image).
The Dirt Bike from Black Ops Cold War and the original Warzone returns with the Season 5 update. Although this vehicle makes you more vulnerable to enemy fire, I like it because of its speed and maneuverability. In addition, an MRAP armored vehicle will be added to the game. This vehicle is approximately the size of a cargo truck and has a turret mounted on top.
New game modes for Warzone 2 Season 5
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players will be able to experience two new game modes later in Season 5: Fort Rebirth and Armored Royale .. As the name suggests, the former is a Rebirth-style mode with the respawn mechanics that you can currently experience on maps of Vondel and Asika Islands. However, Fort Resurgence will take place in a different but familiar location, taken from the Al-Baghra fortress in Al-Mazrah. Armored Royale is a game mode returning from the original Warzone, where all teams spawn with their own MRAP vehicles and fight to be the last squad standing.
Call of Duty 2023 Warzone 2 Season 5 Announcement
Call of Duty developers have subtly hinted at the upcoming 2023 game on their Twitter account. According to leaked promotional images for Monster energy drink, the upcoming game will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and is supposedly a direct sequel to the current game. Interestingly, CoD 2023 will be featured in a limited-time event in Warzone during Season 5.
